Escape turin, then the real challenge begins!
THE CHALLENGE
Can you escape Turin and make it to the rendezvous point at the top of Colle del Nivolet in the Graian Alps?
Inspired by the 1969 movie, ‘The Italian Job’, this 102km exodus sees riders take on a virtual rendering of the escape route Charlie Croker and the team would have taken before finding themselves dangling off the edge of a cliff, trying to decide between gold or gravity.
Sounds fun right? That is until you realise 2000 of the 2,671m of elevation comes in one monster 40km climb!
HOW IT WORKS
Whilst completing the challenge will be anything but simple, joining the event is relatively straightforward:
- The event is FREE, all you need to do to register is sign up to our newsletter using the form below.
- If you don’t already have one, create yourself at least a free BikeTerra account (only a free account is necessary to join the event).
- We would recommend trying out one of the free events in the BikeTerra calendar well in-advance to test your set up before event day.
- The day before the event, we will circulate the BikeTerra joining link to participants (we recomend checking your email settings so our emails don’t caught in a junk filter).
- At exactly 10am GMT on 8 February, the trap will spring, the heist will be heisted and you will need to cover 102km and 2,671m of elevation to make good your escape with the gold!
